Frequently asked questions
Is the free tier really free forever?
Yes. Teams of up to 10 people can use BrighterWorks for free with no time limit and no credit card required. All core features - posts, comments, votes, karma, and recognition - are included.
How does per-seat pricing work?
Your first 10 seats are always free. On the Pro plan, you pay EUR 6/month for each additional team member above 10. So a team of 25 would pay for 15 seats (EUR 90/month).
What happens if I remove a team member?
When you remove a member, the seat is freed immediately and your next invoice will be prorated. You're never charged for seats you're not using.
Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?
Yes, you can switch at any time. Annual billing saves you about 17% - that's roughly 2 months free.
What currency do you charge in?
All prices are in EUR. We're an EU-based company with EU hosting and an EU billing entity.
Do you offer a trial?
We don't offer time-limited trials. Instead, the free tier is your trial - use it as long as you want with your full team of up to 10. Upgrade only when you need more seats or Pro features.
What if my payment fails?
You get a 7-day grace period while we retry the payment. During this time, everything works normally. If the payment still fails after 7 days, your workspace moves to read-only mode - no data is lost and no members are removed.
